The Spanish Bullet is a streamlined, ultra-dense Perdigon-style nymph engineered to dive rapidly through fast currents and reach feeding trout with minimal delay. Developed within the competitive fly-fishing circles of Spain and France in the late 20th century, its name reflects the fly’s signature “projectile” profile—slick, compact, and built for speed. Early versions drew inspiration from French La Céramique patterns, which experimented with metal cores and glossy, low-drag finishes
