Description
The Puterbaugh Caddis was developed by Don Puterbaugh, a long-time guide on the Arkansas River in Colorado. It floats well and presents a great silhouette in the water. Its simplicity is what made it popular—it floats high, lasts through dozens of fish, and casts cleanly even when tied in small sizes.
Pro Tip
This is my favorite Caddis Dry Fly, It works all the time!
Trim a narrow, shallow “keel” on the underside of the foam body; this helps the fly track perfectly upright on choppy drifts and prevents it from rolling on the cast.
