LED Midge is a fly pattern created by Umpqua Signature tyer Kevan Davidson, designed specifically with selective trout in mind. The fly is engineered to help anglers catch more trout by making the fly easier for the fish to see. The LED Midge features tiny white balls that capture light and contrast sharply against its dark body, making it highly visible underwater. These white balls are meant to imitate the tiny, bulging wing cases of emerging midges and other small insects just before they hatch, which is a critical stage of the midge's life cycle.
