Top Secret Midge

The Top-Secret midge, developed by legendary angler Pat Dorsey, is a killer midge pattern for any river or stream with midges present. This is a must have fly! The Top-Secret Midge success is a result of combining a two-tone thread body (brown and white) with an emerging wing made from Glamour Madeira.

When fishing the Top Secret, slightly offset the trailing shuck to one side when tying or trimming—this tiny asymmetry causes the fly to yaw subtly in micro-currents, creating a weak “side-slip” motion that often triggers eats from trout that ignore perfectly straight drifts.
