This year: Flow has been good and the water temperature is around 54 degrees. Fishing quality is still unknown. Drifting cress bugs between the cress beds is your best bet. Look for midges on sunny days and baetis (BWO) on cloudy days. Try throwing a streamer in the deeper channels. We are starting to see some hoppers. We're seeing midges and baetis (BWO). Green sedge caddis are also around. A Hopper Popper is a recommended pattern.
Prior years: Flow has been good and the water clear. Fishing quality has been fair. Focus on your approach to the stream. Scud or Sow Bugs in sizes 14-18, and Blue Wing Olive Duns or Parachute BWOs in sizes 18-20 have been recommended. Sculpin are also present.
