Report Summary for Nov 2025
This year: Elk Creek has experienced recent rainfall, resulting in stained water conditions. While flows were temporarily elevated, they are expected to recede quickly. This month, flows on Brandy Run near Girard have typically averaged around 6 CFS, with a range from 3 to 19 CFS. Fishing has been fair, with fish scattered throughout the system. Anglers will find success by actively stalking and carefully working every nook and cranny where fish are likely to be resting.
Prior years: Steelhead fishing is excellent this month. Water conditions can vary, with high flows and rising water levels possible, sometimes accompanied by rapidly changing conditions. However, these increased water levels can contribute to excellent fishing. Good flow conditions are also present. Anglers are finding great success throughout the day, particularly in the mornings. Using eggs off indicators is a very effective technique.
