Fly Fishing Stream Conditions Report: Clark Creek

Report Summary for Apr 2026

This year: Clark Creek is currently running a little low but remains in fishable condition. Fishing quality has been poor recently. Anglers observed fish rising, likely to caddis, which were seen hovering over the water. Smaller mayflies, such as Tricos, were also present. Due to stream conditions, dapping flies into open pockets between log jams may be necessary to target these feeding fish. A significant hazard to be aware of is the jumbled mass of dead trees and log jams at the AT parking lot, which makes fishing difficult in that area. Parking is available at Bierly's Grove, Sawmill, and the AT crossing.
