The Royal PT Flash is a modern nymph pattern developed by Kurt Shaffer of PGH Fly Co. in 2022. Inspired by the classic Pheasant Tail Nymph, Shaffer enhanced the design by incorporating peacock herl to simulate thoracic gills and adding Veevus holographic tinsel for increased visibility. This combination effectively imitates mayfly nymphs, making it particularly appealing to trout.
