Frenchie

The Frenchie is a Euro-style nymph developed as a competition variation of the Pheasant Tail Nymph by members of the French national fly fishing team, with variations later popularized by American anglers like Lance Egan. Designed for fast sink and visibility in competitive formats, it uses a bright hotspot at the collar, a slim profile, and often a tungsten bead to reach the bottom quickly—key for tight-line nymphing and Czech-style presentations. While the name refers to its French competition roots, this fly has become a staple in Euro-nymphing setups worldwide due to its adaptability and deadly effectiveness.

This is a terrific all around nymph. the original coloration works great but Black or Purple can just flat out catch fish!
