Imposter Midge

The Imposter Pupa Midge is specifically designed to be suspended under an indicator, effectively replicating the emergence of midge pupae in the water column.

Adjust retrieve speed to match emergence activity – The key to fishing the Imposter Pupa Midge effectively is matching the retrieval speed to the midge emergence rate. If midges are rising slowly, keep the fly still or retrieve it very slowly. During more active emergence, a slight twitch or gentle movement of the fly can mimic a struggling pupa, making it more attractive to fish.
