Brown Drake Nymph fly pattern - Brown Drake nymph image

Description

The Brown Drake Nymph is a pattern designed to imitate the nymphal stage of the Brown Drake, a large burrowing mayfly commonly found in slow-moving rivers, lakes, and spring creeks. This nymph is an essential pattern during the pre-hatch stage when trout actively forage on these meaty insects. Use in larger sizes 8-10.

Pro Tip

Best used in tandem with a heavy point fly or dropped under a large dry.
