Bling Midge

The Bling Midge is a simple, flashy midge pattern designed to stand out during heavy midge hatches. Subtle ribbing and a reflective accent add just enough attraction to catch light without overpowering the fly, making it effective when trout are feeding selectively on small midges in slow or cold water.

Fish the Bling Midge slightly downstream of the pod, not in the middle of it. The added flash is often rejected when it drifts directly over feeding trout, but drifting it just outside the main lane mimics a dislodged or tumbling midge—often triggering the most confident eats.
