This year: The North Platte continues to fish well with flows currently sitting around 1,000 CFS, providing a nice bump in water volume from what we saw earlier. We are still fishing fairly light rigs and not drifting especially deep. A wide variety of setups are getting the job done right now. Trico hatches have been the main event most mornings, offering some great action to start the day. Keep your drift clean and focus on matching the active hatches. A couple of highly effective patterns to have in your box right now are the Crust Nymph PMD and the Depth Charge Caddis.
