About Minersville Reservoir
Minersville Reservoir, a 900-acre lake west of Beaver, Utah, is renowned for its trophy trout fishery, offering opportunities for rainbow, brown, cutthroat, and tiger trout, as well as smallmouth bass. While midge hatches can occasionally provide dry fly action, nymphing with dark woolly buggers, damselfly nymphs, and leech patterns in black and brown is generally more productive. Bead-head nymphs and wet flies also prove effective. During warmer months, trout tend to move into deeper water, making boat or tube fishing more successful than shore fishing. The reservoir is managed under special regulations, with a strict limit of one trout over 22 inches. Amenities include a campground and boat ramp.
