About Flint Creek

Flint Creek is a small, wade-fishing-focused brown trout stream in Montana's Philipsburg Valley, flowing from Georgetown Lake and acting as a tributary to the Clark Fork River. Anglers will primarily target brown trout, with rainbows, cutthroats, and whitefish also present. Key hatches include Yellow Sally, Elk Hair Caddis, and Golden Stoneflies, making it a good destination for dry fly and nymph fishing. Public access is limited to bridge crossings and a few walk-in points, with excellent fishing often found within walking distance of these areas. The creek offers excellent habitat with undercut banks and deep pools, though anglers may need to be prepared for some bank vegetation.
