Report Summary for Mar 2026

This year: Flows on the Snake River are currently around 280 CFS. The water is stained due to recent warm weather, but fishing quality remains good. This flow is consistent with last month's average of 278 CFS. Concentrate your efforts on the warmest parts of the day, targeting slower water areas such as holes, recirculating eddies, tailouts, and buckets. Nymphing will likely be the most productive method. If you're fishing streamers, remember to keep your flies low and slow. Keep an eye out for fish eating off the surface, as opportunities may arise. Anglers should focus on Midges, BWOs, and early Skwalas. Effective patterns include Emma's Stonefly.
