Mosquito

Mosquitoes are small aquatic insects in the family Culicidae and can provide seasonal food for trout and other fish. Their larvae and pupae develop in water, while adults may be eaten when they land or fall on the surface. Mosquitoes are most important to anglers around lakes, ponds, backwaters, and other slow or still water, particularly during warmer months when large numbers are present.
