No Hackle Dry image

Description

The "No Hackle Dry" - Created by Rene Harrop. As the name suggests, this fly pattern does not have the traditional hackle (feathers wrapped around the hook) found in many other dry flies. Instead, it relies on a carefully crafted body and wing to float on the water's surface in a natural and realistic manner. The absence of hackle allows the fly to sit lower on the water, resembling an insect that is about to take flight or has just emerged from the water's surface.

Pro Tip

Put Floatant on the tip of the wings only letting the body sink into the film.
