Morgan's Midge

Morgan’s Midge is a refined dry fly pattern developed by Trevor Morgan of England and popularized through Umpqua Feather Merchants. Designed to imitate adult midges riding low in the surface film, it features a CDC wing for visibility and a subtle Krystal Flash butt that suggests the trailing shuck of a freshly emerged insect. Often considered one of the best midge dry flies available, it excels when trout are feeding selectively on tiny dries rather than subsurface emergers.

Slow the Drift in Fast Water: While it's a great fly for slow-moving tailwaters, Morgan’s Midge can also work in faster currents.
