Interstellar Overdrive Jig

The Interstellar Overdrive Jig, designed by Richard Magill for RIO Products, is a flashy and innovative fly created to catch the attention of trout in even the most challenging conditions. Richard Magill came up with the idea during a winter tying session, fueled by his third cup of coffee and a desire to use some holographic tinsel he had been gifted. The result was a bedazzled nymph pattern that combines bright, iridescent colors and a jig hook design to create a fly that not only attracts trout but also performs excellently in a variety of fishing scenarios.

Leverage Flash for Low Visibility Conditions: The flashy holographic tinsel catches light even in low-visibility conditions. When fishing murky or stained water, rely on the fly’s ability to flash and create visual interest, especially in overcast or early-morning conditions when visibility is limited.
