Description

Sand’s Epoxy Mysis, created by Will Sand’s. This is a terrific Mysis pattern. This fly is almost exclusively built with epoxy that creates a translucent body and a shrimp-like profile. Designed to imitate salt and fresh water shrimp.

Pro Tip

After curing the epoxy, lightly score the underside of the body with the corner of your scissors to create tiny micro-ridges. These faint grooves trap micro-bubbles during the drift, giving the fly a subtle shimmer and “flicker” that perfectly mimics the way real mysis pulse in the water—especially in slow currents where trout scrutinize every detail.
