Description
The Rojo Midge, designed by Greg Garcia in the 1990s, is a simple yet highly effective fly pattern developed to imitate the larval and pupal stages of midges, a primary food source for trout year-round. Its bright red body and silver ribbing mimic the appearance of bloodworms, a midge larva common in oxygen-depleted waters.
Pro Tip
Fish the Rojo Midge beneath a small strike indicator or a dry fly (dry-dropper setup) in slower pools and tailwaters.
