PGH Royal PT

The Royal PT is a distinctive nymph pattern developed by Kurt Shaffer of PGH Fly Co. in 2022. This fly combines elements from the classic Pheasant Tail Nymph and the Royal Coachman, featuring a peacock herl thorax and a red floss band to enhance its visual appeal. Designed to imitate mayfly nymphs, the Royal PT is particularly effective in attracting trout in various water conditions.

Add a split shot above the fly or use it as a dropper beneath a heavier point fly. This setup allows you to reach different depths and target trout feeding close to the bottom in deeper runs or pools.
