PGH Golden Stone image

Description

Developed by Kurt Shaffer of Pgh Fly Co in 2018, the golden stone is a color switch on the Pgh Black Stone. The nymph uses Lively Legz as a tool to mimic the golden stonefly nymph. Using goose biots, vinyl ribbing, and peacock herl to simulate the gills of a stonefly nymph. This product is not sold by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Lively Legz in anyway besides using the product as a tool to create a semi realistic fly.

Pro Tip

Mimic Molting Nymphs: Golden stonefly nymphs exhibit brighter colors immediately after molting. Using a PGH Golden Stone with a slightly more vibrant hue can effectively imitate these freshly molted nymphs, enticing trout that are keen on this vulnerable stage
