The Mini Cocktail Coral Booby is part of the Mini Blob Booby range, designed by Rob Edmunds for FullingMill to target more wary or resident fish in pressured stillwater environments. This fly pattern was specifically created to provide a smaller, less intimidating alternative to larger booby or blob flies, which can often scare off fish that have been pressured or exposed to bigger patterns. The Mini Cocktail Coral Booby uses the new FNF 10mm Jelly Fritz, which gives the fly an enticing, jigging action and adds a level of sparkle that draws fish even in challenging conditions. Especially effective during competitions or when fishing for fish that have been conditioned to avoid larger flies, this fly works well when fished on the lightest tippet possible, paired with smaller nymphs, hoopers, or buzzers on droppers.
