Its rabbit tail and weighted eyes create a lifelike jigging action that imitates small baitfish or madtom catfish, making it a standout pattern in both saltwater and freshwater settings. Especially productive in the late fall for stacked bass, the Mad Tom has become a favorite among anglers for its simplicity, effectiveness, and adaptability.
