Description
The Light Cahill, a classic Catskill dry fly created by Daniel Cahill, a New York railroad worker in the 1880s. Its simplicity and remarkable effectiveness quickly established its legendary status, a distinction that remains unwavering even after more than a century. Renowned for its effectiveness during the late spring and summer season, this dry fly works well for all Mayfly hatches.
Pro Tip
When no visible rises occur, fish it as a searching pattern. Cast across and slightly downstream, allowing it to drift naturally before gently skating it on the surface to mimic an emerging insect.
