Description
Sand’s Epoxy Mysis, created by Will Sand’s. This is a terrific Mysis pattern. This fly is almost exclusively built with epoxy that creates a translucent body and a shrimp-like profile. Designed to imitate salt and fresh water shrimp.
Pro Tip
The most effective method to fish a Mysis imitation is on the dead drift with a 9-foot 5X tapered leader using fluorocarbon tippet and yarn strike indicator. Using two or three flies in your nymphing rig, off the upper fly, drop an additional piece of tippet from the eye (or bend) and attach another small midge or mayfly nymph.
