Description
The Brindle Chute, developed by Chuck Stranahan of Hamilton, Montana, is a versatile dry fly pattern designed to imitate the Hecuba mayfly, commonly known as the Great Blue-Winged Red Quill. This mayfly emerges in late summer on Montana's Bitterroot River, and the Brindle Chute effectively mimics its appearance.
Curated by the IdentaFly fly fishing team.
Pro Tip
Versatile Searching Pattern: Even outside of specific hatches, the Brindle Chute serves as an excellent searching pattern due to its multicolored body, which resembles various insects.
