Description
The Twenty Incher was developed in Colorado in the early 1990s. Designed it to imitate the large stonefly nymphs common in freestone rivers across the Rocky Mountain West. Originally tied for the Arkansas and Roaring Fork rivers, the fly’s name comes from its reputation for tempting trout over 20 inches. With a durable profile, heavy weight, and realistic silhouette, the Twenty Incher became a cornerstone in Western guide boxes—especially effective before and during Salmonfly and Golden Stone hatches.
Pro Tip
Use this fly in smaller sizes during a Mayfly hatch, it works really well!
