Description

The Girdle Bug – Created by Frank McGinnis of Anaconda, in the 1930's or 40's. The fly pattern was originally called the ‘McGinnis Rubber Legs’ but later became known as the Girdle Bug because the legs for the pattern came from an old girdle. The is a terrific all around Stonefly pattern, weighted it gets down quick and can be used in colors that match the hatch.

Pro Tip

Put a little bend in the hook about a third of the way down from the eye. This will help keep it off the rocks and give it a more stone fly like profile.
