Description
The Woven Scud is a fly pattern created by fly fishing innovator and angler, Dave Whitlock. Known for his contributions to both fly tying and fly fishing techniques, Whitlock developed the Woven Scud to effectively imitate the freshwater scud, or "freshwater shrimp," which is a vital food source for trout. The woven construction keeps the materials together so you can cast with confidence and accuracy. The ribbing on the body allows the fly to sink slowly and swim naturally through the water.
Pro Tip
On a tandem fly setup, put your 1st fly as the Woven Scud drooped down to a Dirty Hipster. It's a great combo!
