Description
The Surveyor Nymph, also known as Egan's Tungsten Surveyor, is an attractor nymph pattern created by renowned fly fisherman Lance Egan. Inspired by the success of his Rainbow Warrior fly and the classic Hare's Ear Nymph, Egan designed the Surveyor to incorporate the translucency and flash of rainbow sow-scud dubbing, making it particularly effective in tailwater fisheries where sow bugs are prevalent. The addition of a silver bead and wire enhances its visibility, while a red thread collar serves as a hot spot to entice strikes
Pro Tip
Pair the Surveyor Nymph with a buoyant indicator fly, such as a foam hopper
