Purple Haze Parachute

The Purple Haze, created by Montana guide Andy Carlson in 2000, is a dry fly pattern that has become a staple in many anglers' fly boxes. This fly is a variation of the classic Parachute Adams, distinguished by its purple body, which adds a unique visual trigger for trout. The parachute hackle and upright wing allow the fly to sit low on the water, effectively imitating various mayfly species.

Use the Purple Haze during non-hatch periods as a general attractor. Its distinctive color can provoke strikes from trout in both clear and slightly stained waters.
