Panfish Spider image

Description

The Panfish Spider Fly was probably born on some bluegill and bass filled backwater or Southern bream pond, but it has proven to be ultra-versatile and effective everywhere fish swim. It works well on bluegill and other panfish. It catches bass, fools’ carp, and is a wonderful terrestrial pattern or beetle imitator for trout.

Pro Tip

Fish the Panfish Spider with a slow, steady retrieve or let it sit motionless for a moment to entice surface-feeding fish. Target it near lily pads, submerged logs, or overhanging branches, where panfish, bass, and other species are likely to strike. Adding a slight twitch can mimic a struggling insect and draw even more attention.
