Description

The Mushmouth Fly, designed by David Skok in the late 1990s, is a highly versatile baitfish imitation. Originally created for targeting striped bass along the New England coast, it has since proven effective for various saltwater and freshwater predators, including bluefish, tarpon, and even pike.

Pro Tip

Double-Up for a Schooling Effect: Tie two Mushmouth flies in tandem using a short piece of monofilament or wire to simulate a pair of baitfish. This setup can trigger strikes from fish that hunt in packs or target baitfish schools.
