Description

The Murray's Little Dark Stonefly Dry, created by renowned angler Harry Murray, is a meticulously designed dry fly pattern that effectively imitates the small dark stoneflies native to Virginia's mountain trout streams. Murray developed this fly after observing these stoneflies resting on snowbanks during early-season outings. Its realistic appearance and buoyant construction make it particularly effective during late fall and winter hatches, enticing trout to rise even in colder conditions.

Pro Tip

This is very small dry fly - use a 5-6X leader and 6-7X tippet.

Nice ideas, but the dry stonefly pattern materials are mixed up. Hair wing version lists gray goose wing, feather wing version lists hair.
