The Merkin Crab – Created by Del Brown, it is one of the best permit flies ever. This pattern imitates several species in the Families; Portunidae (Swimming Crabs) and Majidae (Spider Crabs). Designed to be fished in typical crab style for Permit and strip and pause style for bonefish.
Pro Tip
When fishing for Bonefish with this pattern, strip and pause. The pause needs to be 5 seconds or more to allow the fly to settle at the bottom.
