Hook Up Stone Jig

The Hook Up Stone Jig by RIO is a semi-realistic stonefly nymph designed to be a heavy point fly for Euro nymphing. Tied on a strong, slightly curved nymph hook, this fly features a conehead and two beads that help it ride hook-point-up, which reduces snags and keeps it in the strike zone. The Hook Up Stone Jig mimics the appearance and behavior of a stonefly nymph.

Use a Rod Tip Flick to Mimic Stonefly Movement: Stonefly nymphs have a unique, deliberate movement in the water, often darting or crawling along the riverbed. To replicate this behavior, use gentle rod tip flicks or short, sharp twitches while the fly drifts.
