Description
The Headstand – Created by Lance Egan. This fly is designed to get down quick and quietly. With the inverted hook and bead chain eyes, this pattern creates a silhouette that carp love. One of the first fly patterns designed specifically for Carp, this is a must have when sight fishing to Carp.
Pro Tip
When fishing the Headstand, cast it slightly ahead of a feeding carp and allow it to sink to the bottom. Use slow, deliberate strips to drag the fly across the substrate, imitating the movement of natural prey. If the carp shows interest but doesn't take, pause to let the fly settle, as this can trigger a strike.
