Disco Midge

The Disco Midge, originally designed by Pat Dorsey, is a simple yet highly effective midge pattern that targets trout feeding on small larvae and pupae. Its body, tied with flashy materials like holographic tinsel, imitates the reflective gas bubbles that midges produce during emergence. This fly has gained a reputation as a must-have for tailwaters and heavily pressured waters.

When you see so many rings in the water it looks like the result of an invisible hailstorm, the trout are hitting midges.
